One execution equals one complete run of a workflow from start to finish. A workflow with 10 steps that runs once counts as 1 execution. The same workflow running 10 times counts as 10 executions.

Human-in-loop pauses don't create additional executions - the workflow continues as a single execution once the human responds.

Concurrent executions are the number of workflows that can run simultaneously. If you have 20 concurrent executions and trigger 25 workflows at once, 5 will queue until others complete.
