What This Integration Enables

They add and update people, end employments, find by department or office, and download or update documents. Time off actions cover request, validate, update, withdraw, and balance retrieval. Use Case Scenarios

New Hire Provisioning

A new hire is added in Personio and On People Change fires. The agent calls Get Person to pull full detail, then provisions the worker in downstream systems (chat, SSO, ticketing) and uploads the onboarding documents via Upload Document. It posts a welcome plan to the manager with the start date, the department, and the checklist. The handoff from "hired" to "ready for day one" runs as one flow.

Time Off with Balance Validation

A direct employee submits a time-off request. On Time Off Change fires. The agent calls Get Time Off Balance to confirm available days, runs a policy check, and assembles the approval context for the manager. The manager approves or rejects in chat; on approval, the agent calls Update Time Off to record the decision. Balance is checked before the manager sees the request, and the decision is recorded.

Weekly Headcount Report

On a schedule, the agent calls Run Report against the headcount report, uses Find People and Find Departments to enrich the rows, and writes the result into a tracker. It posts the summary to the People Ops channel with the headline figures. The report goes out without anyone running an export by hand.

Human-in-Loop Highlight

Ending an employment or modifying compensation is exactly where an agent should stop and ask. When End Employment, Add Compensation, or Delete Person is about to run, the agent does not execute on its own. It stages the change, attaches the relevant document, and routes to the HR lead via Slack: "End employment for [name] effective [date]. Final pay and document attached. Approve, modify, or hold?" The lead decides. On approval, the agent calls the action and records the decision with the approver and timestamp. Routine people-data updates flow through; anything that changes employment status or pay gets a human in the loop.
