Lemlist

Email Marketing

Connect AI agents to Lemlist. Agents add and update leads in outreach campaigns, track engagement activity, mark leads interested or not interested, and maintain the team-wide unsubscribe list.

15 actions available
A new target prospect is sourced upstream
Agent checks the address is deliverable before enrolling
Agent enrolls the prospect with Add Lead to Campaign
Agent reads Get Activities for reply and click events
Agent flags an engaged lead with Mark Lead as Interested
A hot lead is logged to a sales handoff sheet
An interested lead routes to a rep before automated follow-ups resume

What This Integration Enables

An agent can list campaigns, read a campaign and its aggregate stats, and add a lead to a campaign (or update the lead if the email already exists), storing name, company, phone, LinkedIn URL, and custom merge variables. It reads a lead, updates its variables, removes it from a campaign, and unsubscribes it within a single campaign. This is the enrollment loop: source the prospect, add it with the merge data the sequence needs, and keep that data current. For engagement and hygiene, the agent marks a lead interested (which can pause automated follow-ups so a human takes over) or not interested, pulls activity events across the team (sent, opened, clicked, replied, bounced), and manages the team-wide unsubscribe blocklist. Reading the team info also serves as a connection check. Lemlist exposes no event triggers in this integration, so flows poll activities or start from the systems that source prospects. The agent is the bridge between prospecting tools and a running outreach sequence.

Without FlowRunner

Prospects enrolled by hand A rep copies each sourced lead into a Lemlist campaign one at a time
Engagement lives in Lemlist Replies and clicks sit in the outreach tool, disconnected from the CRM
Opt-outs handled per campaign An unsubscribe in one campaign leaves the address live in others

With FlowRunner

Prospects enrolled on arrival Add Lead to Campaign enrolls each sourced lead with merge variables
Engagement synced out Get Activities feeds replies and clicks into the systems that act on them
Opt-outs honored globally Add to Unsubscribes blocks the address across all campaigns at once

Use Case Scenarios

Source, Verify, Enroll

The agent finds target prospects with [Apollo](/integrations/apollo) People Search, then calls Add Lead to Campaign to enroll each result into an outreach sequence with enriched merge variables. Sourcing and enrollment happen in one flow, and the sequence has the personalization data it needs from the start.

Sync Engaged Leads to the CRM

The agent polls Get Activities for reply and click events, then calls [HubSpot](/integrations/hubspot) Create Contact or Update Contact to sync each engaged lead into the CRM. Engagement that would otherwise sit inside Lemlist reaches the system where the sales team works.

Route a Hot Lead

When the agent applies Mark Lead as Interested, it logs the interested lead into a hot-lead handoff sheet with [Google Sheets](/integrations/google-sheets) Add Row. The engaged prospect lands in front of a rep instead of continuing an automated sequence.

Human-in-Loop Highlight

An interested reply is exactly the moment automation should step back. Marking a lead interested can pause the follow-ups, but who takes the conversation, and how, is a judgment call a sequence should not make. When the agent detects an interested signal, it treats the handoff as a [human-in-the-loop](/concepts/human-in-the-loop/) step. It pauses the automated follow-ups, shows the rep the lead, the reply text, and the campaign it came from, and asks through Slack or email whether to route the lead as qualified, keep nurturing, or respond directly. The rep decides with the full thread in front of them. The agent runs the outreach at scale; the reply that could become a deal gets a human.

Campaigns

3
  • List Campaigns Lists the campaigns in your team with pagination. Each campaign includes its identifier, name, status, and creation date.
  • Get Campaign Retrieves a single campaign by its identifier, including its sequence configuration and metadata.
  • Get Campaign Stats Returns aggregate performance statistics for a campaign: sent, opened, clicked, replied, bounced, and unsubscribed.

Leads

7
  • Add Lead to Campaign Adds a lead to a campaign, or updates the lead if the email already exists. Stores name, company, phone, LinkedIn URL, and custom variables as merge variables.
  • Get Lead Retrieves a lead by email address, including its variables, campaign association, and sequence state.
  • Update Lead Updates an existing lead by email. Only the provided fields change.
  • Delete Lead from Campaign Removes a lead from a campaign by email. The lead stops receiving that campaign's sequence but is not added to the unsubscribe list.
  • Unsubscribe Lead Marks a lead as unsubscribed within a specific campaign, stopping further messages to it in that campaign.
  • Mark Lead as Interested Marks a lead in a campaign as interested. Updates reporting status and can pause automated follow-ups so a human takes over.
  • Mark Lead as Not Interested Marks a lead in a campaign as not interested. Updates reporting status and typically stops further automated messages.

Engagement and Unsubscribes

5
  • Get Activities Retrieves activity events (sent, opened, clicked, replied, bounced, unsubscribed), filterable by type and campaign, for building engagement timelines or syncing to other systems.
  • List Unsubscribes Lists the email addresses on your team's unsubscribe blocklist, excluded from all campaigns.
  • Add to Unsubscribes Adds an email address to your team's unsubscribe blocklist, excluding it from all current and future campaigns.
  • Delete from Unsubscribes Removes an email address from the unsubscribe blocklist, allowing campaigns to contact it again.
  • Get Team Retrieves your team information, including plan, sending limits, connected senders, and remaining credits. Useful as a connection check.
